Animal Testing Policy

Our animal testing policy is simple – we don’t!

Why should we - when there are lots of willing humans who are only too happy to test our products, to make sure they're safe and effective? This includes members of Spiezia’s own team and lots of lovely customers who support and help us in this way.

We think honesty is the best policy and to be totally transparent in all that we do.  So, for the record, not only do we never test any products out on animals, but we have always had a strict policy against animal testing of the ingredients used in our products.

From the very start of Spiezia, back in 1999 we have never tested any of our products on animals nor have we commissioned anyone else to do so. We also do not use ingredients made by manufacturers who carry out or commission animal testing of cosmetic ingredients.

In fact some products are loved by animals! We have been told by some local pet owners who use our products that our therapeutic 100% Organic Calendula Ointment works well on their pets for skin ailments and apparently the Rosemary Ointment has worked brilliant on a couple of local dogs who have leapt around too much and maybe getting on in years. We don’t mind humans who have tested products out using them on their pets – that seems fair and reasonable.
